This is a great fight. Just wish Walters had been more active, might be the difference in this. Loma is a phenomenal fighter and after 7 pro fights his resume is unreal. Think Loma has got this one based on managing to avoid the axe, but if that lands.....lights out!

The way he picked apart Gary Russell Jr. was amazing. The guys boxing IQ is impressive considering he doesn't fight like a guy 7 fights removed from the amateurs. If only champions today dared to be great like him.

Lomachenko is the real deal. His fight with Salido and even Russell shows he's on another level. I expect him to win on Saturday but we all know Walters has that KO equalizer.

            He is certainly special.

The big thing with Loma I think is that its very easy to see his brilliance. The feints are big, the level changes are big, he explodes off at angles, his combos are fast and crisp. Kinda like Roy Jones in that respect. Its very easy for even casuals to see the brilliance in what he does

It landed a lot on Sosa and the Colombian guy Marinagga (sp?) - it looks to me as if Walters has lost some of his power at 130. I also think his power will be sapped by taking so much incoming.

After 7 fights I truly hope he is not on Pac's level yet. Be real. He has done more then anybody else at 7 fights. 2 belts. Let's see how he does this weekend then judge.

I do agree with you on that. After he destroyed Donnaire I thought he would go on a rampage but instead he stepped up and the power didn't seem to carry as I thought it might. Hence, why I'm siding with Loma. However, Loma not so long ago was fighting down at super bantam so he's maybe still getting accustomed at the weight to a degree. Hard to see past Loma's skills though.

Yet another 'Lomachenko something different......' article.

I agree, he is, but how many articles do we need to read saying the same thing ? Getting a bit repetitive.

Arum is using flattery and the idea of being a future Pacquiao opponent to lure Lomachenko into the paperwork prison that he calls a contract.

Lomachenko has been one of the few fighters that has gotten most of what's due to him from Top Rank, but for a fighter that has a certain amount of popularity and good management, like him, free agency and working on a fight-by-fight basis is the way to go.

Lomachenko is an excellent fighter, but you don't have to go as far as young Ali to find a fighter that mastered the technical aspects of boxing (B-Hop) or one that blended the mastery of the technical with incredible talent (Mayweather, Rigondeaux, or Roy Jones (Roy's technical mastery necessitated the use of his legs)).
