I really like Beterbiev. Kovalev/Ward is a big step up in opposition and quality though.

That said, i won't complain if it's ordered. Especially if Ward/Kov V Stevens isn't the fight that's made.

World title shot after 12 fights? I guess time really isn't on his side, he is a beast though.

lets see if IBF do a "tyson" to Ward. They don't seem to like rematch clauses much

Why doesn't he fight more often? It seems like his record moves up at a snails pace. Still just 10 fights? At least fight 4-5 journeymen just to stay active and increase that record. He's relly good and powerful but he will be 32 with 11 fights and he;s not fighting world beaters. I was excited when he KO'ed Cloud like he did in 2014, that was scary power and accuracy, but not much else has happened after that

Lomachenko at 28 will have 8 fights but at least he has a resume to show for it, Walters, Salido, Russell Jr, Martinez

"I skipped the article and went straight to posting. If I would have read it, I would have seen that the IBF said Beterbiev has to fight Skoglund to become the #1 contender and that IBF will give the winner of Ward-Kovalev II until September 2017" - SteveM
