How do you rate Erik Morales' performance against Maidana

Just rewatched the fight, showed a lot of heart and beautiful combinations. Shades of the old Morales was there but I do think Maidana edges it. I think Morales could have won a rematch if it happened.

Flabby ped Morales had a second wind for a little and was razor sharp until Garcia beat the last bit of fight out of him....

A lot of people such as Khan may have caught a serious beat down if they ran into the morales from the chino fight...

Legendary. Out of shape, outgunned, old, small and still gave us a hell of a show on skill and heart alone.

Maidana definitely won IMO< but Morales made it much more competitive than most thought he would. He showed why he was able to accomplish so much in boxing. Not just his technique and skill, but he was a true warrior all the way. When he landed that big left hook, that was the best moment of the fight. Very fun to watch. He was just past it, though. Had it been five years earlier and five pounds lighter, Morales would definitely win I think, but of course, who knows?

He turned up a 40 year old fat man and made maidana look like an idiot.

                I loved it

I honestly thought he won. He rode with most of Maidana's shots and made him miss like crazy while countering beautifully. Had Maidana out on his feet at one stage.

amazing, that was one of the few times i recall chino being rocked hard in a fight (a left hook from erik, don't remember the round) , not even in the ortiz fight i remember him that hurt.
