Both are highly skilled..but Ward has proven his skill on a much higher level....Lomo is talented but losing to Salido does not help his case here at all -
Lomachenko is more skillful right now even in my opinion, but that will only increase as time goes by and my goodness, he is ten times more fun to watch. He has higher output and does a lot of things in there. Much more active. I'd watch his fights any day. I really won't watch a Ward fight more than once. It's about all I can stand.Comment

Lomachenko by far.
Remeber offense is also a skill, Lomachenko has defence and offence.
Loma does not need to hold, grab and clinch, he never does.
He is a pure boxer.
Looking at the kovalev vs ward fight I was surprised that the so called masterboxer ward had to clinch to land a body punch.
Lomachenko was awarded the val barker trophy when he won his first olympic gold, he is two weight world champion and he is fighting a much bigger undefeated fighter in walters in his 8 pro fight. Loma deserves respectComment

Well I got to say Ward because unlike Lomachenko vs. Salido ( a corn on a stick vendor from Tijuana ) when Dre realized he had to make the adjustments to come from behind vs. a top five P4P KO brute in Sergay Kovalev he manage to get the win and make a lot of casual wonder if they know anything about boxing ; just like OP.Comment

Both are on a high level....with different strengths and weaknesses
i chose ward..the deal breaker was his level of opposition in his career
hard to gauge "skills" when one has only fought 2-3 top fighters.
in time it may change for me
BOTH are two guys i study the most of current fightersComment

Based off of what I've seen, Ward.
It's hard to forget Lomachenko looking lost when Salido got inside on him, this is why the Walters fight is so appealing, we're gonna see if he's improved since then.Comment
