No problem with this. Chocolatito has done nothing to lose his spot.

P4P status/rank will never be decided on 100% of the time by 100% of the people...so it is 'whatever' for me...However, after his performance last weekend I don't think at all that it is worthy of being rated so high on the scale.

Officially, yes he won, officially. So his achievement in getting a swathe of belts in another division against the widely regarded king? THAT, in and of itself is a very very credible achievement for anyone, no doubt. But his actual performance and how convincing he was? Nah.

I always thought P4P was ranked based on styles and performances so to speak, and not so much achievement (although granted, they do often go hand-in-hand). So if I was to actually try and compile a list, the Ward we just saw would not be all that high. He was far from convincing, was far from the master tactician and craftsman that we are told he is, far from dominating...Did not TAKE the titles from Sergey etc. Yeah he won, officially, but it was far from great.

Only agree because I felt Kovalev won the fight, not Ward. I'm not mad at the decision though. At the end of the day, I just wanted a great fight and that's what I got. Gladly take the rematch.

I have no problem with this, but wasn't Gonzalez recently fortunate to escape with the decision vs. Cuadras?

it was a much clearer win than ward's over kovalev

i think this is the right move by the ring and hopefully adds further incentive to ward's camp to get that rematch made in good time

No it really wasn't, and Cuadras wasn't #2 P4P either.
