Comments Thread For: Arum Considers Pacquiao vs. Lomachenko For Sometime In 2017

Manny Pacquiao could be presented with a much more profitable option for 2017 if Floyd Mayweather Jr. comes out of retirement for a rematch. Regardless, promoter Bob Arum said again Monday that he'd like to make a Pacquiao-Vasyl Lomachenko fight sometime in 2017. Ukraine's Lomachenko (6-1, 4 KOs) first must pass a difficult test Saturday night, when he'll defend the WBO world super featherweight title against unbeaten Jamaican contender Nicholas Walters (26-0-1, 21 KOs) at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas (HBO; 10:35 p.m. ET).

I was really against this but, at this point... eh, why not?
Ideally, I'd like to see Loma fight Mikey G and Pac fight Broner.
If Loma beats Pac; Pac was old.
Pac beats Loma; he was too big.
I just don't see a lot of meaning in this fight. But, it would be fun, so sure...

When Arum was promoting the garbage match with Vargas, I distinctly remember him say that Crawford would be the next fight for Pacquaio. Did I miss something or is Arum pulling the old bait-and-switch tactic that he has been using to promote Pacquaio for the last six years?

pac whoops Crawford, however Crawford is the guy that everyone is now jumping on along with GGG since krusher was exposed.

Arum will make Pacquaio/Lomachenko in 2017, even though Walters will beat Lomachenko on Saturday and possibly KO him. That makes perfect sense in Arum world.
