Slept on it & rewatched the fight a few times..

and I am even more convinced that Kovalev won.

Ward didn't do enough to take home the belts IMO. A bodyshot here and there between constant clinching doesn't warrant the decision IMO. Kovalev was the aggressor and landed the best shots.

This is Pacquiao Bradley all over again.

To conclude, I scored this bout 7-5 Kovalev as did many other expert boxing pundits.

Kovalev outboxed Ward from a comfortable distance and countered him and jabbed him to death all night. He definitely won, IMHO.

All my co-workers said boxing is a joke and they can give a million flying ****s about a rematch. Like people are saying this is Pacquiao-Bradley all over again.

Kovalev dominates the rematch and then years down the line they fight a pointless rubber match. Yeah I'll pass, boxing is running thin on options

I watched it for the 5th time this morning and I am even more convinced Ward won, hell the 10th is so close it can be scored 8-4 for Ward. Moving forward doesn't win fights, landing clean and effective shots does. 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12. 114-113 Andre Ward. With that being said some of the rounds were in the air for the last minute so I am not angry at anyone who thinks Kovalev one. Its those that scream robbery who should be ashamed for their blatant idiocy.

Yeah, moving backwards and potshotting jabs and the occasional single bodyshot wins fights

Clean, effective shots? I saw 0 combinations, Ward's head was snapped back far far more, and Ward was also out landed on compubox, so please try harder with a more coherent argument before you start throwing insults around because everyone isnt as blinkered as your good-self.

Good point. I would guess it's normal to comment after a fight, we are all giving our post fight opinion here after every single fight, so why should it be different this time? Why not express that a fighter got robbed? Especially when the whole world share that opinion. Some posters, who are more intelligent than 5 years old trolls who are throwing insults all over this board, are trying to portray themselves as objective posters, but it's easy to spot their biasness anytime they try to shame you for not sharing their opinion, trying to make you feel like crazy for saying what most of us thought. They are just glad that their guy got the decision and they don't wont boxing fans years from now to remember this fight as a robbery and that's what they are trying to prevent. Boxing fans should speak up, in large numbers, whenever they see a robbery, otherwise it wouldn't be remembered as such.
