No, absolutely not. The heavyweight division is bad, but I actually think some people blow it out of proportion a bit. To say he could beat all four of the current champs in one night is definately a case where the downfalls of todays heavyweights are being blown out of proportion. It is like when the average Joe off the street claims he could beat Ruiz or Byrd in a street fight. The heavyweights are bad, but they are not THAT bad.
Could George Foreman beat the four champs on a single night?

i know some young people are gonna say we are hyping foreman up but the truth is he is not the only guy in history who could do that, the heavyweight division is not what it used to beComment

Guys, Foreman was a great HW in his time, but remember that it was his size, strength and power that won him most of his fights. He'd be an average to small HW today, and totally beatable by a fighter with a strong left jab. Holmes would've beat Foreman easily if he hadn't retired after the loss to Young, IMHO.
Foreman matched up beautifully with a small come-forward fighter like Frazier, but the larger HW's of today would give him all kinds of trouble with the wide way he threw punches and how easy he was to hit. That's my opinion. I think you guys are off your rocker to take it for granted that he'd just run through the current HW's. No way.Comment

The thing about Forman is that despite him being reletively medium sized by todays standards, his cumulative punch power was superb. Not one punch knockouts but a build up of battering. Ali and Frazier made him look slow and lumbering (and he was) but in his prime he still moved faster than any of our current champions. Their size advantage is nullified by their lack of speed. Only Klitschko has working, offensive tools (basically his jab) but he doesn't move a whole lot. Lyakovich might land a couple of punches that would stun Foreman but George got knocked down on a few occasions and still got up. Valuev would not be able to keep George off and Rahman would be down in 2 rounds.
All four in one night?
With Klitschko first, then Lyakovich? Could be done. He would be sharp for Klitschko, take some jabs but would connect. He might slow for the next bout but the final two would be a cake walk for him. Just a case of finding the chins.
Possible. Not probable but possible.
For those who accuse fans of viewing past fighters with rose colored spectacles, try actually watching some of the prime heavyweight fights of the past. They can be seen on ESPN classic (and sometimes on HBO) and you'll see heavyweights with footwork, MOVING, using technique. Doesn't mean they'd beat today's leviathons in every case, but some definitely would.Comment

Valuev would be the easiest I think. I don't think Valuev can take a punch like Foreman's.
Originally posted by TheGreat1I disargee that Sergei would have a chance with going all the way with George. The only reason he made it with Brewster was because brewster takes breaks, kinda lazy in there where as with foreman, he would never let up in his early days. I think Valuev would be his toughest test, only because the guy is a giant with a pretty good chin.Comment
