Ward got points for surviving. That tells you everything you need to know about Vegas judging.

Furthermore, all 3 judges gave Ward the 10th round. Crazy right?

Ward did NOT beat **** therefore he needs to hand the belts back to the champ and providing both fighters have no physical problems do an immediate rematch with judges from Mexico or some other neutral country.

The best thing To solve the judge issue is somebody needs to be KOd !
I've looked through a lot of various sports sites, boxing sites etc. The minority is actually anyone who had the fight was won either way by more than a point. There's a whole lot of 114-113 scores 1 way or the other, a few had Kovalev winning by wider, I don't think that was the case, but either way, the point is simply that the fight was very close, all there is to say.

We just need the immediate rematch, I hope Roc Nation don't try to find any loopholes to avoid it.
Ward showed what makes him a great fighter by overcoming a kd, and digging his way out of being behind on the scores. Kovalev is the power puncher, that's what he's mainly known for, he has skill, but the puncher in this case only showed for about 3 rds max, and later in the fight, his punches lost most of their steam, because of Ward's body work. I actually told my friend (who is a Kovalev fan) that " Ward would win an ugly UD that everyone would b1tch about". I knew between the 2 styles that would amount to a lot of ugly moments.

Wow I didn't know that Hooker is Roc Nation fighter. Right after that robbery, before Kovalev vs Ward started, I was thinking that a couple of posters posters were overreacting for saying that they are going to rob Kovalev too if he doesn't knock him out.

The hooker fight was true robbery, the ward fight was a truly close fight.

                Kovalev Won! Be Honest

Kovalev got jobbed!! He won this fight but the outcome was a foregone conclusion. Ward is the insider money guy and that's just the nature of boxing today. It's always had a corrupt aura to it but now it's just the norm. Boxing is wondering why it's dying when you have real fighters getting robbed if they don't play ball or more and more champions in each division further polluting each division. I feel bad for Kovalev but I think deep down he knew unless he knocked Ward out he'd lose the decision.

Champions find ways to win, the fact is, when it came down to it, Kovalev started losing rds and wasn't getting them back. Ward was the more impressive fighter. He's fighting a guy that's naturally bigger, stronger, and can punch much harder than Ward, yet he could do much beyond Rd 3-4, that's his own fault. People need to stop calling robbery because the v fight was very, very close, Ward got it, and if there's a rematch, Ward wins much more decisively imo.

I thought it was a good score either way, which is shocking because I thought the first fight was a robbery.

I thought it was extremely close with Kovalev dominating the 1st and 2nd rounds, which I think prejudiced most of the people watching the fight who had the indelible mark of Kovalev brutalizing Ward for the first 2 rounds burned into their brains.

But I had Ward winning the overwhelming majority of the rounds after the 2nd round.

I think the problem is that it's hard to judge fighters who have such different styles.

Kovalev's style is more fan pleasing. He's a big puncher who brutalizes with his punches. It's easy to tell when Kovalev is doing well.

Ward is harder to judge because that's not what he does. He grabs, he clinches, he punches while clinched that added up in my mind. It's much harder to judge rounds Andre Ward won because they were so slow and ugly

I mean, after the first 2 rounds Kovalev had almost tripled the amount of punches landed that Ward had, but by the end of the fight Kovalev only had a 10 punch lead. That means that from the 2nd round on, Ward had to have far outlanded Kovalev.

I would've been okay with the results either way, whether Kovalev or Ward won, or even with a draw. It was a close fight that deserves a rematch

                      I think Kovalev was robbed.

But here's the thing. Let's imagine, as some have asserted, that this was super close fight.

Don't you think, in a super close fight, that at the very least ONE judge would have given the fight to Kovalev? Especially as he got a 10 8 round. Don't think it's a little strange, if it's so close that all three gave it to Ward?
