For those claiming Ward made adjustments...

Give details of adjustments you felt he made in the fight. I see a lot of people throwing that line around and am just curious what you think.

"Adjustments" gets thrown around a lot. They are rarely explained.

To me, I don't think he adjusted. I think Kovalev kept doing what he was doing and Ward did what he always does. Ward set traps but Kovalev doesn't fall for them, like he showed in the Hopkins fight. All in all, Ward did a lot of clinching and tried to get close and make it dirty but Kovalev got dirty enough back to keep him honest. I wish Kovalev would have landed a few more right hands, though. If he could have got a second KD, I don't think the judges could give it to him then.

      Seems you're right.

He tried to fight close and Kovs great jab kept him and range , that and starting a little slow he got beat to punch and was kd , he wasnt badly hurt but he knew he had to get back into the fight , around the 5th Kov started to be less intense and this allowed Ward to start to pot shot him and instead of trying to fight close Ward moved out further than kovs range just a half step making Kov reach allowing for counters and piggy backing off that counter he was now in close and digging the body as Kov was tying him up .

It was a slight adjustment in range and he was reading Kovs double jabs from being a half step further out , it allowed him to win the back half if he didnt make those adjustments he would have got KOed by the 6th .

Close fight Im up for either guy winning .
