Did you guys remember the hype for Ward Schooling Kov?

I was a 50/50 fight but who show cased more skills there? WARD? Who got dropped and was eating jabs all night or Kova who was landing that Jab at will, winning the battle of the jabs, battle of power shots and the battle of the clinch? It was competitive but was a clear win for Kova, giving 10 and 12 for Andre is ridiculous.

Ward won a close fight in a damn good fight and we as fans get a fosho rematch..what is there to complain about?

Thought Ward would school Kov but looked like plenty of times that Kov was schooling SOG which I couldn't believe my eyes as I believed Andre to be the much superior boxer from the outside!

Kov should be favored in rematch, I think this time he'll keep the fight on the outside and punish Ward often and early and has great chance to stop him if defense on body punches is worked on!

Great tactical elite fight between 2 elite fighters! Kudos

After the fight Kova looks great when talking to the reporters while Ward even has sunglasses to hide his face.

What a gift.

I am not watching more boxing, Maybe Loma's fights and Golovkin perhaps. But i am not giving a cent to no one in boxing.

I actually thought Kovalev would act like Ward is some great boxer(which he never was, just one of the most overrated boxers to ever live, result of the aforementioned desperation) like Postol did with Crawford, but I was laughing my ass off at how ineffective and bad he actually looked.

Dude couldnt even outbox Kovalev. People saying Ward "dominated" Kovalev in the later rounds based on a small amount of throaway body shots.
More like desperately looking for anything to try to swing a round.

Yes, the trolls were wrong, yet again. But let's face it. They aren't interested in boxing. They just love to troll. But it is refreshing all the same since dat Euro Bum dropped Dre. Even Ward fans say it was a close fight either way. Kovalev has been underrated for a long time, due to the Chilemba fight, which I always thought was ******. He handled Chilemba and dropped him. But of course, in the eyes of many, that isn't enough. He, the champion, has to beat the challenger. He has to take the belt. Wait. What?

i was saying before the fight what if andre can't adapt? why as the fight gets closer people reduce kovalev to just power? to be honest i saw ward doing the same thing all night long, backing down, wreslting and trying to work kova's body in the inside, he had succes with the jab? yes but so did sergey. also he only fought using his left hand, how can you expect to win with one hand?. none of that work that well. i admit that kovalev abandon the cutting off the ring in the second half and started to follow ward instead of cornering him, but still it wasn't enough for ward to win. kovalev won the boxing match, something they say it was impossible.
