I never hear people consider the fact that DLH and Mosley may not be the same going back to 147...just because it was a good weight for both men, that doesn't mean they will be unstoppable again...

DLH won't have the hunger...and Mosley will still have southpaws (Zab, Spinks, Mitchell) to deal with...

You got two good points. We don't know if De La Hoya still has the desire to be great anymore, He could just be in it for the money now. As far as the whole southpaw thing with Mosley, that might be true as well, but he can actually seriously hurt these guys too (who might I add are for the most part his size..)

well DLH hasnt been the same in ages, and with Mayweather Sr. his chances are slim to none.

Won't be the same? Why? I don't think melting off 6 or 7 pounds would kill anyone if done properly. They can definitely do it without any adverse effect. If they lose at welter, it would be because a better boxer beat them, not due to weight loss.

Hey, then you havent read any of my threads. I have made a few threads about this and I usally get ganged up on. I said that they are older, slower, have less confidence, and were losing before they left. Couple that with the fact that there are some really got fighters at 147 and 140 that will move up.

See people have it in their heads like they were dominant before they moved up but that is so false. They moved up because they were losing. Mosley lost twice to Forrest and Oscar lost to Mosley and Tito and had fights with Whittaker and Quartey that alot of people thought he lost

^well I am not even just talking about the weight...they are still different fighters....confidence may be lost in Mosley...other fighters have improved...desire may be gone in DLH...etc...

my point being, that just because they go to 147 again...doesn't AUTOmatically make them unstoppable monsters that they once were...

De La Hoya and Mosley will suffer losses in this division, hopefully enough to rid us of both of them for good.

I totally agree! I hear all this talk about Sugar Shane and ODLH going back to 147 and how those guys will dominate again. I don't think so. Both are older and not what they used to be.
