When he came out after the 3rd, I knew it was going to be a nightmare Ledderman card. My wife was enthusiastically cheering for Kovalev but at one point she was like, "is that old man talking about THIS fight?"

That said, I don't think he's always so bad. He just misses a lot of the detail and inside work and favors the eye candy.

You're right and, their little post-show piece was disgraceful. Watching it again today reaffirmed everything I thought I saw last night. Kovalev started out amazing but Ward took that fight back.

Harold loves the aggressive fighter. Even said all ward was doing was clinching and running. Not sure what he was watching

Actually Leddermans score card no matter where he gave rounds to is pretty accurate,he probably just started randomly given rounds to Ward ,because that's what one would have to do to not sound like a hater while commentating with the two fighters because a reality check would be ..Ward didn't win more than 4/5 rounds and even suffered a knock down making his win last night less believable when scoring the fight as a whole. Personally I gave Ward 3 rounds and gave hima questionable round, and he still would lose the fight comfortably in the end even though I ended with Ward getting 4..

Funny thing is ive never seen these guys fight once before b/c I mainly follow HW boxing and I can tell you Ward lost that fight and did so easily.

No. When there's 2 fighters fighting he picks a fighter/style he likes and just keeps scoring it for that fighter. I dont care that he gave the fight to Kovalev or what his scores were but how the fk do you give Kovalev the 9th?

He does need to retire like Jim Watt did! Forget this fight his Cards been kinda off for the last couple of years actually. But to be fair the man is 76 years old give him a break but yeah his scorecards was just a mess Last Night

I can give Lederman some leeway with a bad night here & there. He's typically right more often than he's wrong. When I used to religiously score fights I was quite often scoring most rounds right along with Harold. That said you aren't wrong with the nostalgic angle doe. I'm sure there are better guys for the job then Ledderman's midget ogre, talking too loud all the time ass, but HBO seems to like keeping him around.
