As usual, Merchant nailed it. Typical Ward, safety first, one punch at a time, battered and nearly launched out the ring first 5 rounds. A Vegas U.S.A. decision, with a non-existent ref not breaking up Ward for all those clinches. The score cards were already filled in before the fight even started. I gave it to Kovalev by 1 or 2 points. He was definitely the busier fighter, and yes caused way more damage to Ward than the other way around.

They need to do the rematch in Russia, but good luck with that. I was surprised they were even able to get whiny Ward's azz outta Oakland. I would've been more than ready to give Ward a salute for winning the fight, but IMO he didn't win. He merely survived to the closing bell. That does not equate to winning a title from a long reigning champ. No way.

It wouldn't suoriuse me kov thought he won every round. But the proiblem arises that you don't know is that the judges are actually scoring for ward.Ward is con artist fools opponents that he's not doing much, so you don't do as much as you can as you think yoiur clearly beating ward
