I personally think people will be more comfortable picking Kovalev in a rematch.
Do you think Ward will be the favourite going into the rematch also?

I was shocked to see 2-1 on kovalev at the sports book the morning of the fight. A ton of ward money came in late. A ton! The odds for this one were damn near even in the months leading to the fight. I expect the same in the rematch. They're evenly matched fighters. Odds are about attracting two way betting. If kovalev money pours in they'll change those odds. That's really what you see when odds change, money for one guy is pouring in -
Kovalev will probably be the favorite because people will figure that Kovalev can hurt Ward but Ward can't hurt Kovalev.
That's probably enough to have people give Kovalev more of a chance at winning.
But in reality, it'll probably be as close to 50/50 as possible, all the way up until the fight, until somebody drops a million on either one of them and moves the lines just minutes before the opening bell.Comment

I lean towards Kovalev being the slight favourite, plus while Ward did really well and showed heart, it was clear to see that he's not the same fighter that dominated 168 and it's not down to rust I feel, he's just older and slower.
Also factor in that with the majority having the feeling of Kovalev winning or being more deserving, the judges may give him more credit next time round.Comment

I voted Kovalev will be the betting favorite in the rematch. That is assuming that a referee and the 3 judges are not from either the USA or Russia. With an American referee and three American judges Ward would probably be the betting favorite.Comment

Ward is the favorite. How do you let someone outboxed you in the 2nd half of the fight and your stamina sucks that you get tired in the 5th-6th round?Comment
