The part to feel bad about is the fact that Kovalev will likely have to fight in Oakland next time out. Also Ward is a guy who benefits from seeing his opponent twice. Kov has an uphill battle.

We got what we thought we were getting. A 50/50 fight. I thought the knockdown was the difference personally and everyone knows I'm one of the biggest proponents of Ward on here. I'm not mad at any Kov fans who feel riled up. What I will say is both fighters are clearly evenly matched, and that in itself is a rarity.

I had GGG 1st, Kovalev 2nd and Ward 9th PFP going into the fight. I didn't pay to see this fight. I'll watch it for free next weekend. If I think Kovalev was robbed as most posters say he was then GGG and Kovaler remain 1st and 2nd for me and I'll raise Ward to 7th for putting up a good fight against the mighty Kovalev. I know nobody gives a damn about my PFP list but there it is anyway.

Trust me he lost zero respect from me, I know a lot of Ward fans who scored the fight to him. Hopefully a rematch is made for next year, both fighters gave us a good fight and i really dont see any losers between them.

yeah i agree, im not ****ting on ward at all. do i enjoy his style, no. but he was pretty clean last night, didnt foul so no complaints from me. he adjusted well when many fighters would have panicked after the knockdown. but did he win the fight? hell no
