I thought it was really good fight.

And to be honest I never actually expected Ward to ever be in a good fight. As Virgil said at one point to him 'you're trying to entertain'. The guy is basically a comfortably winner of crap fights.

I've not watched Ward really since the super 6 and even then made fights against top fighters horrific spectacles. He is all about negating an opponent. To be honest if you're a Brit and you are staying up to watch him fight until 5 a.m anyone but Kovalev or Stevenson or a maybe a ****er at cruiser you have to have a screw lose. It will be mildly frustrating and the only person he is going to knock unconcious is you on your sofa.

All that said - dude is GREAT fighter. He got a shoeing for about 4 rounds so his mental strength to come back was something to behold. He is harder than a coffin nail that lad.

That anyone could call Ward/Kovalev a "robbery" is a bit of a headscratcher, but that always happens when it's a close fight. People love their fighter.

But to say that this was worse than Williams/Lara? Really?
