This is like the cnn poll for the election debates

With this poll they only surveyed people in Oakland because for them to give rounds like round 8 so resoundingly for ward shows clear bias

Omg I don't think I'll ever forget the 9-3 fan scorecard for Donaire from Twitter. Must have been watching from an alternate universe where Donaire was infact schooling Magdaleno.

I rewatched it. To be fair, it was a closer round than I first thought. Close fight, even if it was a draw in terms of rounds Kovalev wins by KD point. I had it 7-5 Kovalev.

I think it basically points to a very close fight, which I think most people agree on.
The biggest problem with punch stats, and most people forget this, is that it still goes round by round so if a guy gets a KD he's going to jump on his opponent and land more shots.

So that ten punch difference could all have been from one or two rounds, and they were scored accordingly. You've still got another ten rounds to score though.

Yet people will use this to justify whoever they want to win. It doesn't work that the guy who landed more did so with consistent frequency across the whole fight.

Most people don't keep a score either so when they look back on the fight they remember the "highlight" moments" and think robbery.

Yahoo sports and boxingscene also had Ward winning 114-113.... It wasn't a robbery, Kovalev's rounds were clearer, hence why he outlanded Ward overall but it's scored on a round by round basis. Most people saying it's a robbery because Kovalev got a KD, was the champion and looked less beat up. Those aren't what determines who wins though, it's who wins more individual rounds. I don't have an argument against Kovalev winning but people acting like there's no way Ward could have won are off.

I think what broadcast you watched may have an influence too... The Sky team had Ward winning as well.

I look forward to the rematch and hope we get a decisive winner next time. Kovalev earned my respect for his boxing skills last night.

                    Super close round. Even imo

But trolling aside, was no robbery.

Judges probably werent corrupt but let the crowd influence their unanimous incorrect scoring of the 10th round for ward .
