so the guy bumrushing and rabbit punching is "boxing" and the guy landing clean shots and snapping the others head back from the outside is "brawling"?
I predicted Kovalev would chokehold, throw him, push, and do whatever it took to spoil his inside game, but had no idea that he would be that effective and that Byrd would be helping Kovalev more than Ward.
Kovalev lost but I give him great credit for spoiling the spoiler. He really proved so many wrong and it was more than just power that made him competitive with Ward. That said, I think it was a combination of complacency and fatigue that lost him the fight.

I agree...except i don't feel he lost. In all honesty, it's really hard to find 7 rounds to give ward. Kovalev unnecessarily spent a lot of energy trying to nulify wards in-fighting. He could have mixed it up by punching out of clinches...not always waiting for the ref to break them.
