The point is he put himself in that situation. He ran into Kovalev's head lock, over and over and over again. Kovalev probably thought "Oh my god, all I have to do is headlock him and he can't do anything to me on the inside". That worked out for him.

It's shocking how Ward didn't try anything different to avoid being put in that situation.

Before the fight we had many people saying Ward was a dirty fighter and some were saying Ward would get no credit if he held. Are those people going to hold Kovalev to the same standard?

Kovalev wasn't holding, it was Ward. He kept on bending at the waist to move in with the clinch. In order for Kov to stop Ward from grappling inside, Kov had no choice but to put him in the headlock.

You Ward fans have zero shame. You're just scum bags when it comes down to it.

I give Ward no credit because he's a dirty cheat who should have had points deducted and then DQ'd had he continued.
Throw in the fact that Kov won the fight and was robbed at the end, just goes to show what a disgusting night RN had. Especially after ripping off Perez in the fight beforehand as well.

Ugly stuff by Kovalev. But, I'm OK with it.
Byrd helped Kovalev tremendously in this fight by not allowing them to work out of the clinch in the first half. But, I'm OK with that too.
Dre had to earn this, every bit of it. Makes the victory even sweeter.

come on Redd, you are always fair and you know like everyone who watched the fight except for the three "judges" that Ward lost that fight.

Even Virgil Hunter was pushing it cause he knew Ward lost.
