he did what he had to do i guess but no one in their right mind would pay to watch him fight again.

I was rooting for Sergei, I ended up having Ward up by 1 but I thought I might have been giving him close rounds because he was down.

The fight was itself wasn't great to me but I want a rematch because I want a clear victor and a lot of people thought Kovalev won but they gave him the loss so he deserves one.

Honestly they're pretty evenly matched but when the fight is for pound-for-pound supremacy 1A and 1B doesn't really cut it.

There is no way 6-12 was decisively won by ward. Especially the 9th and the 11th. Come on, ward did not sweep 6-12, that's a lie. Those rounds were so close and I felt kov could have taken at least half--EVERYONE ELSE THINKS SO AS WELL

I find it hilarious when people complain that a fight isn't scored a split decision... it was a close fight that could have gone either way, loads of 50/50 rounds, I don't get how its questionable that three judges scored a very close fight the same way, it wasn't like there was a 117-110 scorecard in there. How can it be deemed controversial because none of the judges disagreed with each other?

Mayweather had a lot of landslide scores in fights that were somewhat-to-highly competitive for the most part.

Just rewatched the fight. Clear Ward win, when I first watched it I thought it was a draw or a Kovalev win. Ward was working a lot in there landing a lot of sneaky shots.

When the wrong guy wins, people always cry robbery. But still, the wrong guy won the fight. Kovalev should have been given the victory, well deserved. I hope Ward doesnt disappear for a year. I'm not counting on a rematch though. Ward will either go on hiatus or fight someone else.

1) there will be an immediate rematch
2) Ward will win much more comfortably next time..... Ward was underdone, he needed 1-2 more fights before going after Kovalev..... it took him awhile to get his game going, he will be much better off with that fight under his belt

the better fighter will make the better adjustments, and we all saw that the better fighter is Andre Ward..... Kovalev will be no different, but Ward will be much better at EVERYTHING, and he will be much more confident

Kovalev's problems will start in round 1 next time, not round 6
