I know he got beat the **** up in the olympics and he cried like a bish.

These are 5 of his 18 amateur losses:

    1995 World Amateur Boxing Championships
Lost to Nouredine Medjihoud (Pro: 0-3)

    1996 USA Olympic Trials
Lost to Augie Sanchez (Pro: 28-3)

    1996 Summer Olympics
Lost to Serafim Todorov (Pro: 5-1)

Lost to Martin Castillo (Pro: 35-3)

Lost to Carlos Navarro (Pro: 27-6-1)

HE NEVER fought a TOP fighter in their prime EVER again.

mayweather 84-6, golovkin 345-5. so by larrys and the other people on that threads logic, golovkin must be miles better than mayweather. 1 less loss and 261 more wins.

Show us the proof of Golovkins record. There is none. Mayweather was also a kid, Golovkin was still fighting in the amateurs when he was a man beating up kids.

We know for a fact he has more than 5 losses. There's 8 been revealed so far.

Amateur Record: Widely reported as 345-5, but records show he had at least 8 losses. [1]

Where's the reliable source for the 345-5 record? There isn't one.

It's impossible to find out the real record of amateur fighters. There's lots of smaller lesser known tournaments that nobody keeps track of.
