virgil was pretending he cared about kovalev but in fact he (and james prince) tried everything in a very calculated way to make kovalev mad.

Brought up russia vs usa. Brought up kovalev's dead father. Brought up kovalev's relationship with his trainer. Tried to create division between kovalev and his promoter talking about how he's not getting paid enough. Etc.

So it was total bull**** that virgil was saying these things to look out for kovalev. He went point by point trying to create discord and piss off kovalev.
