Cause they sure as hell cant be basing it on whats happened in the last 5 years. And we had many people and so called 'experts' picking hopkins based purely on this, even in his mid 40's. people just automativally think a big puncher will get exposed against a pure boxer
Ward isn't a pure boxer though, Kovalev isn't a brawler. Both have an excellent control of distance, Kovalev first KD of Hopkins is a great example of this.
The fight will be won or lost on whether Ward is able to get inside and work IMO.
