It is sort of annoying to hear guys/girls locked up in MMA contracts constantly saying what they'll do to Mayweather in a boxing ring, but IIRC he started the McGregor conversation in the first place. He's now on record officially saying he doesn't want to fight/isn't entertaining high paying comeback offers, so UFC affiliated people should stop mentioning him.
