Kovalev is well known for hardening his gloves before a fight by punching a wall. While not illegal, it is immoral because it gives him an unfair advantage. Bernard Hopkins team would not allow him to do that before their fight. I hope Ward's team doesn't allow it either.

It doesnt harden the gloves it pushes the padding back which really doesnt work with modern gloves anyway. Old school gloves were different, Ive held a pair of Tysons used gloves. Tyson used to spend the entire prefight intros etc manually pushing the padding back. Ive done a similar thing that Krusher does but its more about breaking down the hand wraps so you cant make a tighter fist.
