    angles will play a factor as well, kovalev is a straight line fighter and i expect ward to step around him and utilize his feet to land power shots from a safe position. if he steps over to his left and ****s the hook of an angle he will neutralize kovalevs ability to counter effectively.

    but i do agree ward will be very careful against kovalev in general, including the use of his hook.
    To be completely honest, even Wards setups play into kovas hands as Ward likes to set his hook up with level changes and feints. Usually jabbing downstairs, level changing to the right to move in with his shoulder, or a combo of the two.

    Kova typically puts a forearm out and controls his mans head if they change levels, and he throws hsi right hand DOWNWARD, so he will look to match Wards body jab that way.

      And hasn't stopped in in the professionals... without any headgear.
