Comments Thread For: Hurd: Win Over Dan Helps Me Out As I Move Closer To Title Shot

Jo Jo Dan wasn’t the foe Jarrett Hurd originally expected, but the late replacement opponent still was beneficial to the junior-middleweight prospect’s development. “This does a lot for me,” Hurd said afterward. “These fights I'm getting are bringing me closer to the belt. Hopefully this moves me up the rankings.”

there never should have been a feel out round..that jab should have been money from ding ding..

if there isnt a coach telling him this he's messing with the wrong coach..
u dont hope a guy comes out moving..u come out and make him move..

all and all he got the W, but like he said 154 is nothing to play with and one or 2 off rounds could be all that it takes to get you beat

Not worried about Hurd, put him in with the best and you will get the best. He knew Jo Jo Dan couldn't hurt him he would've fought a heavy handed Jorge Cota differently obviously. I think he is ready, would love to see him vs Vanes or Michel Soro even Willie Nelson would be good step up for him or reschedule the Jorge Cota after he recovers from his Appendectomy

The top levels just got thicker with Hurd added to the mix.

Harrison, Hurd, Lubin, and Gausha, are all good fighters on the 2nd tier of the 154 division! Some weight divisions are lucky if they have 4 good fighters in total!

I know about the haters, but seriously, if they would think about it: Lara, Andrade, Williams, the Charlo Twins, Tony Harrison, Vanes Martirosyan, Jarret Hurd, Erickson Lubin, Terell Gausha, and I haven't seen Culcay or Cota fight yet! That's deep!

I think either one of those fights would be the next evolution for him.
