Comments Thread For: Garcia: I May Need To Walk Thurman Down, Let My Hands Go

It’s no secret that WBC welterweight champion Danny Garcia likes counterpunching. His hand speed and power when countering helped him knock out Amir Khan, and it was how he picked apart an overmatched Samuel Vargas this past Saturday night in Philadelphia.

I don't think he has the ability or confidence to walk down Thurman. Just not part of his skill set. Danny's going to look to counter. That's just what he knows how to do.

Danny: "I got to make adjustments"...

... while he wasn't able to adjust vs Herrera and (even) Guerrero...

Danny finally found someone bigger than him. When he fought Matthysse, Khan, their frame was smaller than Danny's. When he fought someone bigger in Peterson, he couldn't do much. Same will happen here. Logic says he loses a UD to Thurman.

BUT he knows this. Thurman is taller and thicker, and he knows it. He will probably train harder than ever and go out with "all in" mentality throwing ****** hooks like crazy and might catch Thurman a few times. You never know with Danny.

you're gonna walk Thurman down, when you didn't have the balls to do that with featherfisted Herrera?

                yeah, right
