    I don't know how the financials work for an athlete but I guess you are right, if endorsements truly yield that much.

    To be the 4th paid highest athlete in his country, I don't know if I should be impressed or disgusted with that, he's got a handful of fights.

      Me neither (know how the financials work). But i'm gonna guess that companies pay endorsements based on how much viewers they think will watch the athlete, in other words popularity, therefore that's how much their "brand" will be exposed I would guess. For example, the Chinese sportswear brand "Anta" knows their brand will be exposed to 10s of millions of Chinese boxing fans if Shiming wears it, so I guess they pay him a good amount of money. I think the amount of pay just comes down to popularity
