BJ "El Peligroso" Flores, 15-0-1 (10 KOs) will now campaign in the suddenly hot Cruiserweight division after fighting at Heavyweight his whole career. The 27 year old contender out of San Francisco, CA is also now a promotional free agent after severing ties with NJ Based Main Events.
In his last fight in January, he outboxed and outclassed journeyman Jarmell Barnes enroute to an 8 round unanimous decision victory. The former BYU football standout possesses exceptional hand speed for a cruiserweight, along with a stinging straight right hand. Aside from being an undefeated prospect, Flores also posesses an impressive amateur background. He was a 2 time US National Championship winner, earning top honors in 2001 and 2002. In his spare time, he enjoys working with children and being a guest motivational speaker at local schools.
Flores fights this Saturday, May 13th 2006 at the Arizona Coliseum in Phoenix, Arizona against former NABF cruiserweight champion 33-year-old Ali Supreme (15-6) for the WBF Americas cruiserweight title in his first 12 round assignment.
