I still don't understand that second round. In the first round I thought... well Brook is fast, which was understandable. In the second round Golovkin just looked like a complete tool. Still he managed to get Brook's eye broken, luckily for him.

His success is hugely overstated. Golovkin showed him respect for like the first minute. After he hurt him with the body shot he threw all respect out the window. He walked forward with little strategy or care, looking to slug and stop Brook. Even then Brook only won one round.

Why would people be shocked, Brook is the vet and more accomplished fighter and more than likely, odds are gonna favor Brook.

Brook was brilliant, but the problem with this argument is that GGG busted the eye with a punch. It wasn't bad luck.

I was actually surprised at Brooks willingness to trade with GGG, he showed some real dog.

Without the damaged eye just think he would have lasted a few more rounds but the result was never really in doubt.

I give props to Brook, he showed his calibre as a technician AND his heart as a fighter.

He proved a lot of doubters wrong in those few rounds.

You missed the clear knockdown to start round three that wasn't counted.Brook was swamped,and Golovkin couldn't miss him with the jab,the same one that broke his orbital.

What got me about that round was how badly Golovkin feinted Brook right before the knockdown.
