I think Brook should still get some credit for taking the fight but it was a win win situation for him. And just because he took that fight doesn't mean he can't be accused of avoiding anyone. I don't think he's avoiding Spence but this fight is not a win win situation.... he has a lot to lose in the Spence fight.

I knew ggg would beat him, but what alot in here seem to disregard is that kel took the fight to him, he could have hugged and ran to try and last 12 rounds, but he stood and traded with a devastating puncher, if u cant appreciate that you are watching the wring sport.

Why the heck would they give him more? Spence has been begging for this shot, now he's got it. 75-25 is the deal, take it or leave it.

The split is the split. That's how it works.

Spence has been vocal about wanting the title fight, the big fight, if he wants it then the split shouldn't be a problem.

Posters complain about the possibility of Brook not taking the fight. Then when Brook says he's wants to fight, the posters moan about Spence's pay packet. Boxing fans just love a moan don't they?

I'm surprised by how many people are heaping all kinds of credit to btook for that GGG money fight. He doesn't get more credit to me just because he was willing to get his eye socket broken for a larger payday... This justification for fights like that is why fighters don't see a need to fight the best in their division. That's why there are all the atrocious mismatches. Boxing may be the only sport where the best don't necessarily compete against the best (or irrational fights happen) and the fans are cool with it. Frustrating as a boxing fan.

I think Hearn should do the split a straight 50/50. Even though he doesn't have to, but just because.

Maybe even 75-25 in favour of Spence because he's American and champion elect.

Let's go to the purse bid ASAP! Let's get this fight in March! By the end of March, we should have a very clear picture of the Kings of the WW division! Garcia vs. Thurman and Brook vs. Errol Spence Jr.! If GGG fights Jacobs, also in March, boxing will have it's own March Madness!

Brook gonna get paid! Whoever wins the purse bid will have to put a significant amount of money in to win. If Hearn wins then Brook has a chance to get a lot of money, fight in his hometown and get home judging treatment as we saw recently in UK. If Hearn loses the bid then it would be for a lot of money and Brook getting back to back £million +.

Staying at 147lbs means he gets the big dights and the big money.

Purse bids are intended to be a last resort if negotiations between both parties fail. Even Golovkin is at least trying to negotiate with Jacobs first before automatically going to the purse split.

But if Hearn doesn't think that Spence deserves to even be negotiated with that's fine....I'm sure Errol will take the 25% and make him pay for the disrespect.

So youre telling me, Canelo can face brook at a more comfortable weight than what he fought at when he faced golovkin, So Canelo has the option of Brook (PPV), Bradley(PPV), Cotto(PPV), Margarito (HBO)(business fight), Chavez Jr (gives him enough time to lo----who are we kidding, scratch that last name) But he has a lot of options if he doesnt want to move up yet, in fights that will make him millions, he's the A-side in each one, before he moves up in weight......golovkin is somewhere looking for a pen to sign that GBP offer at whatever weight 156 he wants...

I mentioned yesterday how it's weird they keep bringing up the purse split. I don't recall them bringing up the purse split every time they talked about fighting Jo Jo Dan, Kevin Bizier, or Frankie Gavin. Spence hasn't said anything about money. Spence has also said he's willing to go to the UK to fight Brook. It's really weird that Eddie and Kell keeps bringing up the purse split every time they speak about this fight.
