He was talking retirement too wasn't he? Maybe hoax was the wrong word to use. How about "this was all bull****"?

Joshua doesn't brag but he fights often and knocks everybody out. I think England still has the world's best heavyweight but it isn't Fury anymore. The world needs a heavyweight champion who fights good fighters in a timely fashion and not just talk **** and not fight at all.
I too considered him to be the man at heavyweight despite wilder being a champion aswell. Fury beat Wlad and Wlad was the man to beat. Ever since winning the title though he's done nothing. Sniffed coke and talked ****. Smh I like Joshua, I wish many good things to come his way. Boxing needs the heavyweights to shine like they did in the past. He's got all it takes to be the next big thing.

Anyway I hope Deontay fights him. That's the fight the fans want.
Maybe that, maybe also being trapped in a rematch contract when he wanted to "cash in" vs Joshua in a Froch/Groves style domestic blockbuster. Less historically meaningful but a whole lot of $$$.

But all in all if you're trapped in a rematch with a guy you don't want to fight again + busted for coke further reducing your ability to negotiate anything, you probably just end up taking the year off.

It would be kind of heartless for us if he really is going through addiction and severe depression but... Boxers lie a lot

and if this is true then its great news. So sad to see how underappreciated this guy is,and it shows how pathetic people are that they tried to discredit the klitscko win. I dont care how boring it was, that was one of my favourite fights ever, watching the guy i followed right from the early days, proving every hater wrong and doing what noone thought he could do...

Honestly I'm really tired of Fury.

I'll be a fan again if he comes back and beats either of Wlad or AJ and does it the way he says he will.

What if he comes back and stops them both in barn burners?
