Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr: I Thought About Retirement - But Now I'm Back

According to former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., he's returned with a real hunger for victory. The Mexican, who is 30 years old, confessed that in the last two years he's been thinking about hanging up his gloves. On December 10th, Chavez Jr. will return to the ring after nearly 17 months of inactivity to face the German contender Dominik Britsch at the Arena Monterrey in Mexico.

you know what they say when a boxer already thinks retirement he is already out.

You had all the gifts to be a decent even champion (obviously) but your laziness did you in, you lack of respect for the things your father had to teach you cause your a lil boy still who dont know how to be a man and leave things in teh past and move on with positivity. You lie to everyone, listen to no one, and you ate yourself to a division you cant **** in/with. Sad to say cause I was one of your biggers supporters but I have gave up true hope for you, I will still root for you unless you going up against someone I like more but, here to the future. wish you all the best.

Yeah, if retirement crossed your mind that's a bad sign.

i wouldnt mind a legit guy kicking sol into retirement. let him feast off of journeymen, get his hope sky high only for him to get crushed when he fights a top 10 dude.

maybe him and margarito can go at it. a battle between rodeo clowns.
