Ronnie actually covered boxing for years long before Manny, he was just proud of Manny cause he basically saw him since his very first pro fight or something like that. He wasn't even Filipino he was from Sri Lanka he as a transplant.

He covered Flash Elorde, Elorde was the biggest sporting star the Filipinos ever had until Pacman came along.
