Could Golovkin beat Da Sex in his Prime?

If GGG fought the version of Da Sex from 2010 that KO'ed Paul Williams in 2 rounds, who would win?

Da Sex was 40 and coming off broken knees and hands when he fought Sheguel Cotto, but let us never forget how great Sexy Sergio once was in his prime!

    Good fight...

But I don't trust serg's chin or the fact that he keeps his hands down.. Williams, pavlik, murray, even that euro 154 champ all were able to tag Serg in a pretty consistent manner..

Golovkin would land and land often, he would eat a lot of potshots, but eventually he finds serg's chin.. Probably doesn't stop him, but he would drop him 2 or 3 times and take the scorecards..

Excellent fight though, serg will go out on his sword

If this is the Martinez that destroyed Pavlik then he has a great chance vs GGG.

Prime Martinez slickness would give him fits.

Good fight. Golovkin gets cut up, but eventually lands decisively on Sergio.

In my honest opinion GGG would knock him out with no problem at all. I don't think the two boxers are even in the same class. Pavlic was not anywhere near his best when Martinez fought him. Williams beat him the first time they fought. Cintron held him to a draw and Margarito KOed him. The Cintron draw was a bad decision but it happened. Martinez was knocked down many times. I can imagine GGG being held to a draw by Cintron, losing to Williams or getting KOed by Margarito under any circumstances. GGG's record is letter perfect. 36 wins with 33 KOs. No draws, no losses , and the 3 decision wins were lopsided in his favor. GGG has never been knocked down. Martinez himself said GGG is an amazing fighter on a much higher level than the other middleweights

Probably GGG, don't know if Martinez could deal with a fighter as big as GGG and at his level. If GGG was a natural 154lber it would be a tougher call.

Youre asking about this match up at the wrong time. Everyone is on the GGG koolaid. GGG is undefeated in fantasy fights. He's the GOAT in fantasy fights.

You could make a thread about GGG vs Ali and GGG beats him too since he's currently dropping and stopping current HW's who are bigger than the old HW's.

                    Noway.

Martinez could move, box, had great reflexes, great timing and KO power.

                    GGG loses a UD.

                    The sex always rules.
