Skill wise Spence is not on Brook's level right now.

And yes Brook fought a bunch of average joes too. But did you see Dan, Bizier, Gavin tag Brook? No you didn't. He smashed them all with absolute ease.

Spence's defense is bad and you'll see that if he fights Brook. His chin is also suspect.

You are right I stated Brook is very good and he did with those guys what he had to do...but Spence has two people (aside fron kells bravado fight against Golovkin which I dont count) that are far better than all but one other person on kell resume( a solid but not great porter) and that is ***** 🐱 algieri and bundu..who have both fought elite fighters in their own right(pac amd thurman) and we saw how Spence handled them..the phenom statement is based on how high his ceiling...Errol is an incredible talent

US fans just dont get the UK market. They all think we have a huge boxing fanbase, but really we've got a massive base of casuals and culture that loves 'an event'.

Get dressed up, get ya missus dressed up, get pissed, do some drugs, sing some sweet caroline and maybe watch some boxing if you can see from the nosebleed seats you are in. Its the same people that Matchroom promote their darts shows to.

Brook vs Spence is a good arena fight. Only stadium it gets a decent crowd in is Bramall lane. But you might as well put it in the MEN or summat because stadiums are **** for boxing and only worth it for the really big events

The only difference being that I think that fight is dead in the water if Khan loses again before here and then. Brook likewise.

That is not a stadium fight if nothing is on the line and both guys with back to back losses or even if one of them does. The credit would have run out on that one.

I disagree with Khan's idea that the fight is always there for him. Even with casuals that fight is on a knife-edge of being relevant. It currently is just about marketable now.

I sort of think it is now or never for that one.

I think one or other will lose if as to their credit they take the toughest available fight if not fighting each other. Then I sincerely doubt that is an easy sell and a viable big event.

If they both come off an average couple wins or a semi decent win, this fight sells out anywhere in England, provided something is on the line, without something on the line, this fight doesn't get made at all because there simply isn't enough money in it.

Of course there are risks involved. Spence is a good fighter and a top 5-8 welterweight.

He's just not the beast (yet) people want him to be. He's still got plenty of flaws in him, which is natural.

I am a boxing fan with no axe to grind or agenda one way or another.

As a boxing fan i salivate at the prospect of a competitive fight as this one is likely to be...for as long as it lasts.

We can go into the X's and O's of each fighters flaws but at the end of the day a fighter has to have the ability to exploit those flaws. A lot easier said than done when you are trying to protect your own scalp or in this case your body from in coming fire.

All I am hoping for is for Spence to get a shot at the title he has earned the right to get a shot at.

Heck even Samuel Vargas, a fighter Spence STOPPED last year is getting shot at a title against Danny Garcia for crying out loud !!!!

Is it asking too much for Spence to get his shot whether you think he is flawed or not??

He has been calling out Brook. Time for Brook to step up and exploit those flaws!!!

I'm saying it because this fight would be coming right off of that fight which makes it even more ballsy. He'd have an excuse to take a Khan fight now in his first fight back with that eye but if he goes straight for Errol to keep his belt then that is a straight up fighter right there. Big respect if it does go down that way.
