And Eastern Europeans aren't as good as American PROFESSIONALS.

They tend to be lifelong amateurs whereas Americans turn pro at an early age with a goal of a World title.

We have the best amateur program on Earth...and the best Professional fighters to prove it.

Name a better amateur program...and name the fighters it produced.

      The Pros > The Ams
      At least in this Country.

We don't believe in staying in the ams forever like others do.

Becoming World Champion is the goal here.
My feelings? I don't give a fuck, mate. Why would I care if you've got a good amateur system or not? I like US boxers as much as boxers from anywhere else and if anything would like to see your amateur program improved simply cos it could raise the level of the whole sport.

Cuba and Ukraine are the first that spring to mind is being superior, but how about just comparing it to your own amateur system when it was better funded... it is abundantly clear that US amateur dominance has declined since the glory days of the 70s and 80s, how do you explain that? Do you really not think that improving the funding and provision of amateur training wouldn't be a good thing for US boxing? Do you really believe that improving the amateur system wouldn't translate into greater professional talent? Do you really think that it's coincidence that two of the beneficiaries of the US amateur program, Mayweather and Ward are considered two of the best of their time?

Everyone thought Haymon would make american boxing great again. Now many of his fighters rarely fight. Where in neptune is Peterson, who gave Garcia a close fight? Where is Berto, Broner, Khan, Alexander, etc.?

Americas lack of presence in the boxing world isn't an American problem at all - it's micro-ism of a boxing problem. The American-specific issue is just one portion of the bigger picture.

The issue is, boxing is still living by an outdated model that has a foundation of corruption, over-saturation and no drive or desire to provide quality. It's been talked about at length - MMA is blitzing past boxing, and boxing is not doing anything to change this.

People can focus on the "American" portion of the issue all they want - it ain't gonna help. Root cause analysis is desperately required to fix this mess.

And, let's not turn this conversation political. We don't need to go over the obvious for the millionth time - America has rediscovered it's racist, misogynistic roots - you can only repress these negative ideologies for so long. Eventually, it bubbles to the surface - and citizens remember that they aren't far removed from the cotton-pickin', gun totin' wild west days. And even less removed from the back'o the'bus, shine my shoes 60's.

Trump hasn't changed America, and he won't change America. He's just given people an outlet to rediscover what they bottled away for years - hate, and the insatiable desire for drama, with a complete lack of ability to see beyond what's in front of them today.

Cuba and Ukraine have a long way to go..Most of those guys are career amateurs. They don't have much to show for in the pros....especially when you compare them to the US in numbers and ability.

The Golden Gloves program is the best on Earth...the results in the PRO ranks are proof.

You can't get rid of PBC until all of its fighters sign up with another promoter.
