Comments Thread For: DeGale Has Too Much Ability For Badou Jack, Says Gallagher

Super middleweight contender Callum Smith (21-0, 16KOs) has, like many, been waiting over the past few months to see if the fight between WBC champion Badou Jack and IBF champion James DeGale would materialize.

    I have Degale winning too.

Jack is stiff as ****, doesn't deal with movement all too well. Easy work for Degale.

Maybe, but he's so damn inconsistent during a fight. One lazy stretch in the middle of the fight can cost him a decision if he doesn't sweep every other round. It's a consistent problem DeGale has.

But he likes to fall of sleep during the middle rounds

          People are sleeping on Jack.

I could see Degale struggling if Jack puts on persistent pressure that gradually increases as the rounds get on. Degale is not very good down the stretch.

Not sleeping and I'm tired of hearing this.

He's conserving stamina. That's good boxing.

Yeah but DeGale is the king of having close fights even when he should be superior and Jack is an over preformer

55-45 in favor of Degale, people seem to underestimate Jack a lil bit because he fights too conventional (European style) Degale is a bit more flashy and agile and he's a southpaw, but you can't sleep on Jack since he beat the best opposition at 168, to me he has done more than Degale and going into the fight with that confidence and that mentality is definitely going to help him. Jack is fundamentally very sound and is very consistent throughout his fights, Degale is not, However Degale is faster especially on his feet and has a bit of an awkward southpaw style, so it's a very interesting fight.
