I've been saying this. Eubank Sr didn't play, if you weren't a great fighter you were gone quick.

Faster, Bigger, Longer and comparable power and I'd argue superior boxing skills.

I'd pick Benn, Eubank, Mcclellan, Nunn, Roy, Toney, Watson all to beat GGG.... and before some ******* cries I'm a white Irish man.

When people say the MW division is downplayed because GGG is hated I almost throw up on myself. GGG and Martinez wouldn't have an impact in that era.

Mike McCallum would eat GGG for breakfast. McCallum didn't run, he trebled jabs and countered to the body from a distance better than anyone ever and was super-gifted at mid-range, amazing talent.

McCallum parried everything, rolled and came back smoothly.

Leaning back behind his shoulder I can see McCallum peppering Golovkin with double right hands after parrying those slow awkward-angled GGG shots, then going downstairs and repeating.

Michael Watson has a better chance than Eubank or Benny of beating GGG.

Eubanks was a great MW champ, but he ducked ALOT of American top MWs.

I think GGG would beat him, Benn came close and GGG is more accurate and a better stalker than Benn with comparable power.

Eubanks chin won him more close fights than his actual skill.

Eubank not only had one of the great chins of ALL TIME, his recuperative powers are just as good as anyone else. A post prime Eubank put on a competitive fight against Calzaghe and then, a severely depleted Eubank had 2 wars at cruiserweight.

GGG is definitely not stopping Eubank Sr. Could he win on points? I'm not so sure. Eubank not only hit hard, he carried that power late and was constantly in a position to deflect punches and get his own shots off.

i'd be pretty confident in predicting Eubank over GGG UD.

                  So what?

Eubank took that fight on 2 weeks notice and it was a flash knockdown with Eubank completely clear eyed. That was also the end of Eubank anyway.

I think GGG would put Eubank in a position where he felt it was take or be taken. I think GGG would probably outwork him but I think a cornered, threatened Eubank in his prime might have a decent chance of chinning GGG late.

Watson was wonderful but I see GGG getting left hook body shots in in and around Watson's elbow.
