What do you prefer defense or offense?

Boxing now is somewhat getting boring, when fighters choose and handpick opponents and setting the leverage in PPV and ticket sales. I think most fighters now prefer to be defensive rather than all slugfest less defense like the Fab four era.

So if your getting into boxing what will you choose, an offensive fighter or a defensive fighter. Discuss

If I had to choose obviously offense. Defense is nice but if the guy isn't going to actually do anything offensively I don't care to watch him.

Im actually quite comfortable with the hitman stance, it has balanced defense and offense, so yeah, I'll be a defensive fighter

I like Roberto Duran and Pernell Whitaker who excelled at both.

You can put Duran in both categories. He's widely considered one of the greatest defensive fighters of all time.

I prefer a seek and destroy type of fighter who uses his offense as a defense to get to his opponents and unleash.

Nothing worse than watching a defensive fighter who refuses to engage and instead pecks at his opponents with jabs and scoring punches for 12 rounds.

Nobody pays to see a guy raise his arm to block a punch or jog around in a circle for 12 rds. You got into boxing because you saw a KO on tv.

                  Stop being hipsters.
