A 10 lb cut is nothing for a teenage wrestler or a 20 something boxer, but it is a big challenge for someone approaching middle age with heavy senatorial duties. He would have to put politics and everything else on hold to focus solely on training to get down to 135. It would be a good fight though.

If Arum were really interest in putting Pac against a young skilled fighter he should make the Crawford fight and let Lomachenko move up gradually and take on the winner.

@135 and Pac would rehydrate to 145, he will be too strong for Loma.

It will be just like Canelo and Khan.

If pac walks around at 141 how in the world could he not be healthy at 135 or 140. Its 5 -6lbs he has to loose then rehydrate. Dont see ur logic.

              Bad idea. 140 is fine.

Pac weighed in at 144.8 pounds for his last fight. Figure 147-150 on fight night.

Key is that Pac would have to drain an additional 10 pounds from his last fight, while it might be possible, when was the last time he drained 10-15 pounds? Not since he last fought at 135 like 10 years ago.

So all of his performances that we are used to seeing, he is used to not having to drain a lot, that is a big plus for his energy and stamina. He wont feel the same draining more than he has in 10 years.

Yeah its technically possible but it will take a lot out of him.

Seems like a ****ty idea to go down to 135. Kinda feels like there could be potential for a Pacquaio vs ODLH situation where Manny just isn't the same guy on fight night after dropping those lbs he hasn't had to drop in a really long time.

Not to even get into this fight isn't THAT big. The move, if Manny is moving down in weight, is Crawford. He's more highly considered right now + Manny wouldn't have to drop as much weight. Seems ****** to lose more weight to fight a lesser guy for a likely lesser payday.

If that happens Pac is sleeping on the floor dude will be drained. Pac is really desperate for Money and is almost like a pet or a slave, this man is so obedient and says yes master to Roach and Arum.

I feel bad for him, Lomachenko will destroy him at 135 its not even close.

So Pac is now going back on what he said in the after-fight interview?

There is no way he can make 135 safely and be strong. No way.

Mm I doubt Pacquiao can make 135 but if he makes 140 and rehydrates to 150, then Loma could weigh something similar. Don't forget Loma is even taller than him.
