#1 and 2(no pun intended) are ALWAYS fighting underdogs....most of whom....already beaten.

Beating underdogs is not dramatic...nor exciting.

The best are always, by definition, fighting underdogs. Still, I take your point, I would rather watch a competitive fight to a one sided beatdown or schooling (unless it's an unexpected one).
