        RIP to the kid.

I suspect at some point having a brain injury, as it sounds like this kid had previously, of any degree will keep you out of the ring either before you start boxing or during your career, as it probably should I'd argue. I think there is a lot of risk in the getting hit in the head business when everything goes perfectly so having these guys & kids who are walking into the ring at more risk then others is a problem that is more likely to have a bad ending.

I also suspect with some of the brain studies going on these days its more likely that at some point you will be able to see who's more at risk or see the decline more clearly in fighters to reduce the chance of things like this happening. That said I can't imagine a point anytime soon where boxing is 100% safe so anyone stepping into the ring or letting a loved one step into the ring should understand & accept the risks involved that include death.

          Crappy journalism and editing

Dear 'boxing clever' as a journalist for boxing scene, you should be familiar with the word ETIQUETTE!!
Second time in a month you have a story related to a death ( http://www.boxingscene.com/vernon-forrest-third-man-convicted-his-murder--110082 ) and then put 'in other news' followed by an article greater in size than the tragic main article. This gives the appearance you hold little importance or value in the significance of the headlined tragedy.

3 fights in 3 days is disgusting - not taking into account the fact that it's a kid with a still developing brain (well, was).

There needs to be a book thrown at whoever is responsible for this. Preferably a book made of concrete. At high velocity.

Basically this, its the nature of the sport. Some just dont take any type of punishment well.

What else happened? Did he slip into a coma? Did he have brain problems before the fight? Bloodclot on the brain? Just saying he died in the ring is not enough. RIP, 15 is way too young, no need for a 15 year old to go all out and get hurt or killed this way, disgusting

So after reading the article, they say he had brain problems before the fight? Why was he still allowed to fight? Boxing has been around for years, dont people check these fighters brains before every fight? Boxing is so ****ing unorganized
