Wow...a Champion being honest and realistic. Manny is from a different planet than all these guys who challenge GGG then fight Andre Berto or Kovalev.

Trainer Freddie Roach is very confident that his star fighter, Manny Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38KOs), is capable of beating WBO junior middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (48-1-1, 34KOs).

at least Pac is keeping it real about the weight
most knowledgeable observers knew Roach was full of shht
but Manny's last point - which is something that Alex Ariza also publicly confirmed on numerous occasions - that Pac would be fighting at 140 if not for the 5-6 meals a day including 3am/6am shakes required for him to weigh about 144/145..... proved that the weight stipulations on the 3rd Marquez fight stunk to high heaven
that fight should have been at 140. They tried to disadvantage Marquez on the scale by pulling him up 2 divisions to welter, where Pac would have an advantage. They assumed that Manny would be way too big/strong for Marquez who would be overwhelmed with Pac's speed/size advantage
the fact however that Pac just beat Vargas at 147 (it doesn't matter what Pac weighed) means that Manny should not be required to drop to 140 for Crawford
Crawford aint there yet, he will have to fight Pac on Pac's turf..... just like the situation with Canelo/Golovkin
Pac (who I do not usually support) has paid his dues, unlike the phenom Crawford, yet.Comment

i didnt know the specifics of that ''fight''. only knew it took a specific type of fighter to make pac go above ww.Comment

No, it took Pac realizing that he cant be fighting guys that could come into the ring at over 160 like Margarito, let alone 174 like Canelo. Has nothing to do with a "specific type of fighter".Comment
