Ye but except for Joshua i think the Chisora vs Whyte rivalry is what really interests people, while not maybe a quality matchup theyre both household names in the UK

And with Whyte vs Chisora youre pretty much guaranteed that theyre gonna go @ it in the build up till fight happens (which they already have) so this is a pure ticket seller

Eddie Hearn is a smart man, you gotta give it to him, and UK kind of is the hotbed of boxing right now even tho there are many countries that produce much better fighters, with better trainers, better amateur system etc etc

Lets see, He's a gypsy and people in the UK absolutely hate them. So much so that they have to lie about their heritage. And it doesn't help that he's an ass.

There are at least five decent opponents AJ could face rather than this mug who has been knocked out by Chris Arreola.Bum of the month show it should be called.

Its a good card - which has somewhat compensated for the main event, although i'll admit that is subjective depending on who you are.

The Whyte-Chisora fight is a great fight, its a cross-roads fight and a must win for both guys, especially Whyte, you know there will be fireworks.

Conception-Yafai another world title fight which should be a fun fight, the UK fighter is a solid underdog which makes it very appealing.

Scott Quigg is also on the card

The undercard is a £1 million in purses, so even if the main event is not what anyone wanted, at least Hearn has put a good undercard, there are certain promoters that under the same circumstances would still put a **** undercard.

I don't think UK fans are gullible or unaware - they are educated fans, but just enthusiastic, and this applies to every sport. At the end of the day AJ is a bonafide draw, and that is it. When Tyson was fighting it didn't really matter who he was in with, it was big numbers, did it help when he had a dance partner? Absolutely. But he did good numbers regardless. Anthony Joshua has a similar effect so far, and as long as he keeps winning, the momentum will build, and the numbers will stay big.

Anthony Joshua has the potential to be a massive international star, if he keeps winning of course, which is not a given.

But let's assume he does.. He'd be the biggest star since Tyson. Bigger than Floyd or Pac ever were.

Your story makes sense until you look at the main event ...not PPV worthy ,yes there is big interest in AJ, I myself went to the Whyte fight but it is just not PPV good enough that a 'decent' undercard should prop up a poor main event.

AJ is already ranked the fifth most marketable athlete in the world. IN THE WORLD. After 17 FIGHTS vs knockovers. The guy is a mint in the making. I believe he will eventually be the biggest sports star in the world in 2-3 years..
