for example, a camp saying that nobody at 154-168 can hang in the ring with an ''undisputed'' yet not proving it and being a fighter in his mid fifties is not ''boring'' or played out, but more of cheap thrills by mgmt, like WWF and UFC. hence, big drama trolling. Aren't you the guy that made a thread about ggg vs Brook highlights to be amazing?
I think you're a troll for whatever agenda, against ggg or for....fact of the matter is, the whole ''chasing the belts'' campaign is boring. that's not necessarily subjective...

You are consistently trying to make points about greatness being related to entertainment. But entertainment is simply an opinion. I'm not even sure you have watched many Ward fights, you probably just looked on Boxrec and formed an opinion on who he has beaten and where he should rank. Which if that is the case, I'm not sure where (using that method) that would leave GGG, but fear not, GGG brings Drama, excitement, he allows himself to get punched in the face.
To many of us here, that's boring. Seeing a MW beat up guys who he knows he can beat is boring. Isn't that the catalyst of why Mayweather was called a cherry picker. Because he only fought guys he can beat? Yet here we have GGG calling out welter weights and junior welter weights? . . .
But then again, that's just my opinion, much like your opinion, but the fact about opinions is, your opinions stink. They reak of someone who doesn't enjoy the sport in it's entirety or understand what it takes to win.
When you're fighting at world level (against quality opposition) going out there and putting on a show is not what's spoken about in the dressing room before hand
"Hey Ward, go out there and put on a good show, please the crowd. . . " I can promise you, these are the sort of words spoken by managers to rock groups. This isn't a ****ing rock concert, it's prize fighting. Health, risk, reputation are at steak here. Granted some boxers do not posses the physical abilities to defend themselves as effectively as others. But one thing's for sure. You can bet your bottom dollar if they could they would. So that then leads to the question "If you can, then why wouldn't you?"
"Hey Ward, your inside fighting is befuddling Kovalev but the crowd don't like it so we need to switch it up, start trading with him on the outside. You might get knocked out and throw away the victory but hey at least you'll give the fans a good fight and get credit from the casuals who will still probably make all kinds of GIFS out of your knockout sequence"

What anyone finds boring is subjective, some people think fights that are a forgone conclusion/ blatant mismatch like Golovkin vs Brook are boring. Honestly that fight was trash because you knew Golovkin could end it at any time without even outskilling Brook, that's boring to me and many others. If I want scripted excitement then I can go watch WWE, this is boxing and I live for fights where the best face each other, that itself is exciting.

This is professional sports!!!.... The primary objective IS TO WIN!! You play to your strengths not your opponents. You are a straight up ****** if you can't grasp that. ENTERTAINMENT IS ALWAYS SECONDARY TO GETTING THE WIN..... What happened to the street fight Golovkin promised with Lemieux?? You know why he boxed?? ...... because that gave him the best chance of winning and Lemieux the least chance of winning. Why "street fight" with a guy that only has power with no boxing skill when that is his only chance to win??

In football (or soccer as you call it) its frowned upon when teams play negatively, should be the same in boxing when people fight negatively. I dont think its just me who thinks this either, floyd beat pacquiao (fighter of the decade, 8 weight world champion) and he didnt get much credit for it cause he fought so negatively, whereas if he won and was more willing to trade punches hed have got a hell of a lot more aclaim. Crawford just outclassed postol but the way he did it left a sour taste in peoples mouth. I understand this 'boring is subjective' thing but as i said im highly cynical that people actually find ward entertaining, cause his viewing figures and the hype his fights get (for arguably americas top fighter) dont suggest that people want to watch him
