if you don't get a KO against this guy there is something up - means you effectively have no power at 147. If you do get a KO its exactly what you should be doing - even if it is a KO in the 1st round.
Not sure how this fight can in anyway help you prepare for Thurman. It just can't.
Dont pressure yourself champ! I dont see these other welterweights getting KO's at the elite level. Take your time Danny... Pac, Bradley, Thurman , Porter, none of them can tell you nothing about KO's. You just worry about getting the W and staking paper.

Just because one goes up in weight does not mean he gets increase punching power & from his past few fights Garcia has not showed that and I doubt he will show it again elite of the division...
Thurman vs. Garcia is a very good fight, and likely to happen soon (I hope).
The whole point is Danny rarely pressures himself or tests his ability. His resume needs some bigger and more meaningful wins against other champions and undefeated fighters who aren't over the hill. Matthysse is still his best win.
It's not entirely his fault, he's been getting the full Haymon treatment for years now.
