    According to WBO, WBA and IBF light heavyweight world champion Sergey 'Krusher' Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs), he was ready to face Andre Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) a year ago.

      Of course Ward needed a couple of fighs. Nothing wrong with that, he was coming off a long layoff due to injury and promoter issues.

              You'll see them after the fight trying to deny credit. Like they do now with Kessler (headbutts, referee), Abraham (bum, natural MW), Froch (didn't travel, won't rematch in UK), and Dawson (weight drained, no chin).

                He was coming off an 18 month layoff because he chose not to accept any fights from his promoter.
                He chose those "promoter issues"

                  Vitali Klitschko came back after four years and took on the WBC champion without and warm-ups when he was nearly 38.

                  And the same people who hang off Ward's nuts never gave Vitali any credit.

                    this is all from the interview yesterday he didnt say it like that he said he knew ward was off a 2 year lay off and wasnt ready.
